Plasm — Azure Validator Program

A guide to setup a Plasm / Dusty Validator Node on Microsoft Azure

  1. First you need to go to and login with your credentials. This should take you to the Default Directory
  2. Create your virtual machine

Click on virtual machine — create

This will take you to: Home > Virtual machines > Create a virtual machine

Here you need to:

  • select Resource group → Azure_Validator_Program
  • add Virtual machine name → pathrock-mclb
  • select Region → choose a region
  • select image → Ubuntu Server 18.04 LTS — Gen1
  • select Size → Standard_D2s_v3–2 vcpus, 8 GiB memory
  • choose Username → azure_validator
  • select Authentication type → SSH public key or Password and name the ssh public key or enter a strong password
  • Public inbound ports → Allow selected ports
  • Select inbound ports → leave SSH (22) for testing

3. Scroll back up and click in Disks

4. Create and attach a new disk

5. Change the size of your disk

Click ok and confirm the disk size

6. Click on review and create your virtual machine

7. Click create

8. Once deployment has been successful you can go to your created resource

9. Now you should be able to login with your chosen method and start building your Dusty Validator Node.
